About the role

Relyion Energy is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their quickly growing engineering team. In this role, you will be part of a larger team with the mission to enable a Circular Economy and provide a second life to EV batteries. The ideal candidate would have recent experience in a small start-up environment or be comfortable joining a company at this early stage. The company is in the process of closing its seed fundraising round so the opportunities are boundless. This role reports to our CTO and you would be one of 6 – 8 team members within this critical organization. This is a 100% on-site position with limited to no remote opportunity

Responsibilies

  • Work on complex applications for our product

                o MicroGrid

                 o EV Charging

                 o C&I

                 o Residential

  • Develop processes/product requirements to integrate Inverters into our solution/offering
  • Enable Utility integration
  • Knowledge in AC/DC Power
  • Ability to develop Single Line Diagrams
  • Create comprehensive optimization tools
  • Create case studies of our application and how it solves customer needs
  • Work with Sales on understand customer applications
  • Develop tools for testing of batteries, BMS and total solutio

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Power Electronics or related EE focus
  • 2 – 5 years of high voltage and protection experience is desirable
  • Strong understanding of Energy Storage Systems, Inverters and Grid including IEEE standards
  • Familiarity of all available battery technologies
  • Strong understanding of power systems, inverter design and operation
  • Proved track record of being a team player on cross-functional projects
  • A quick learner and team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communications
  • Ability to work without Visa sponsorship
  • Proficient in Solar and Storage technology and equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Ability to help construct test solutions
  • Assist in building of customer demo equipment
  • Ability to work without Visa sponsorship
  • A “success” oriented mindset
